Hi all,
This might be old hat to some of you, but I thought I'd share a fantasy baseball trick I've been implementing using Google that gives me up-to-date news on my players.
If you go to www.google.com/alerts, you can set up parameters around your players' full names, and emails will be automatically sent to you when there are new Google results for your search terms.
I've been trying to acquire Teixeira, so I've set up an alert to send me news and any fantasy baseball article on the web with Teix's name in it. It will only send links once, so you don't get bombarded with material. Just be sure to put quotes around the name (ie "Mark Teixeira") or else you'll get every article with Mark OR Teixeira in it (hint: there are lots of "Mark"'s on the web).
Another good alert parameter is simply "fantasy baseball". It will introduce you to fantasy sites/articles you didn't realise were out there....
Cheers,
JB
