i can tell you that i really P'd off Pete Becker when i took Brendan Morrow 12th overall. over the first 5 rounds or so he fired me about 4 times. well it was nice working here.

i can tell you that i really P'd off Pete Becker when i took Brendan Morrow 12th overall. over the first 5 rounds or so he fired me about 4 times. well it was nice working here.
That's hilarious. Poor Pete...he is just too generous with his insight.
This year was my first hockey draft and I had the 2nd overall pick. Pete gave me some advice about my first three rounds:
1) Take Thornton and then Heatley with the 2nd overall pick
2) Take a top goalie at the bottom of the 2nd round
3) Take Brendan Morrow in the 3rd if he's available
Then follow the draft kit Top 300 and REPs after that...
I gave in the the hype and took Crosby over Heatley with the 2nd overall pick, but as instructed, I took Manny Hernandez at the end of the 2nd, (6th overall goalie taken), and then Morrow in the 3rd, (26th overall pick).
Well, if he couldn't get Morrow, at least I did.
