Okay, certain people in the league that I'm in are very impatient, leading to the availability of H. Zetterberg on the waiver wire. Also, Brian McCabe has also come up on the wire. I think I need McCabe more, as he gives me some nice defensive G's as well as a few PIM's. His +/- is not great, and Zetterberg offers an excellent opportunity to make up the +/- debt I'm mysteriously in. My forwards are Jagr, Briere, Drury, Gaborik, Tucker, Havlat (IR), Spezza, Marleau. My D is Commodore, Chara, Boucher, Corvo.
I was going to drop tucker for Z-berg, and Corvo for McCabe... which position do I need more, considering I'm leading the league in assists, but next to last in G's and +/-?

| Okay, so I missed out on Zetterberg, but now I've got a chance at St.Louis, who is on like an 8 game scoring tear. I am desperate for G's right now, and my +/- is miserable. Is St.Louis better to have than Tucker, who's putting up similar G's, but has a terrible +/-? Also Should I drop A.Ward for McCabe?

i agree on McCabe, definitely. the Tucker/St. Louis call is much tougher to make, particularly in a situation where you need goals. Tucker has been scoring pretty well and getting plenty of PP time. i'd love to add St. Louis but in your lineup its tough to find the right fit. i'd stick with Tucker for now or maybe try to work out a 2fer1 deal so that you can make a move on St Louis off of waivers, probably too late for that though.

| I've always found the scary thing about McCabe is his plus/minus isn't all that great. Hopefully Raycroft can keep playing well, and quit letting in softies. Therefore, McCabe is added. While I'm here, i might as well post my concerns about the shoulder injury of Jagr... I'm terrified!! Is it rash to start thinking trade? I might be able to snag thornton for him, but like I need more assists.

if you can get Thornton for Jagr you do it anyway, even when Jagr is healthy. Joe's gonna get 30-40 goals or so anyway.

ian (11/6/2006) if you can get Thornton for Jagr you do it anyway, even when Jagr is healthy. Joe's gonna get 30-40 goals or so anyway. On the other hand, don't worry too much about Jagr to accept a lowball offer for him.
