Currently I have a team that's 7-3 and tied for 1st. I'm debating what I need to do to improve for the playoffs. An owner recently sent out a message say he wants to improve his QBs.

My team:
QB - Carson Palmer, Phillip Rivers
RB - Rudi Johnson, McGahee (inj.), A-Train, Addai, LaMont Jordan
WR/TE - Torry Holt, Roy Williams, Keyshawn Johnson, Terry Glenn, Jerrico Cotchery

His team:
QB - Alex Smith, Trent Green
RB - Caddy, Deuce, Warrick Dunn, Gore
WR/TE - Harrison, Joey Galloway, Stallworth, Plaxico, Lav Coles, McCardell

He doesn't seem to know too much about fantasy football and a Tampa Bay homer, so I think I could get a nice package for either Palmer or Rivers. Maybe something like a QB/Gore/Plaxico. My RBs are serviceable right now, but not studly, and if I could start Holt/Williams/Plax, I would be pretty unstoppable at WR/TE.

Truthfully a qb for gore and plaxico would be asking for a lot from him ... considering gore is his best rb ... i think you need to trade one of your qbs for stallworth and duece .... stallworth will be huge down the run ... last week was a show ... it killed me how no "expert" suggested stallworth last week ... i started the guy in every fantasy league i'm in last week, cause he's healthy and he would do good ... DUH! ... anyways back to topic ... or trade your qb for dunn and plaxico ... i think that seems a little more even ... but, actually what i really need to know is how is your point system set up ... that would help out more ... cause if you are in a td heavy league ... then qbs are worth a lot ... since they obviously can get more than the average player.  Can you reply with that info?

QB TDs are worth 4 pts each, receiving/rushing are 6. Pass yards are 25 for 1 pt and rush/rec are 10 for 1 pt.

As I mentioned, he's a huge Bucs fan so he's starting Caddy/Galloway every week. I think I might be able to snag Gore and Burress from him since they're both on his bench. Stallworth does look good though.

i say this then ... give him palmer for gore, stallworth ... if he counters try plaxico after that ... stallworth will be worth way more down the road ... and heck if that guy is such a bucs fan may be you could give him palmer and keyshawn ... for gore and stallworth if he declines a lot ... i mean Me-Shawn used to be buc too if i remember correctly.  So his lineup should always be caddy, dunn (past buc as well), galloway, and keyshawn ... you could even throw that into the message you say when you make the trade that me-shawn was a past buc ... he may take the bite ... i did it to someone two years ago and it paid off .  And also you really won't need keyshawn anyways if you get stallworth or plaxico ... but, you do need a slight upgrade at rb ... not a lot, but slight, A-Train will pick up the load for mcgahee ... and rudi he's alright ... if you don't have LT or LJ ... what does it really matter anyways

Thanks for the help.

He just accepted a trade of Rivers/A-Train/Keyshawn for Alex Smith/Gore/Stallworth. I definitely think I came out the winner here.

Yeah you did ... stallworth is better than keyshawn ... gore has a slight edge over a-train ... and then a great edge when willis comes back ... and smith for rivers ... well that's the loss you took ... but, who cares ... you have palmer ... palmer, gore, rude, stallworth, and your other guys will outweigh by far ... nice trade
