I can trade my first rounder next year for Rudi Johnson.  I'm 7-4 with the most points in the league by a large margin.  We can start up to 3 RB, and I am able to keep 5 from my roster for next year.  So I'd be looking at keeping LT, Brees, Rudi, KJ or Jackson.  I dont think losing a first rounder hurts me too much with those keepers......right?  Any thought would be appreciated.  Thanks.

At 7-4, I would go for the championship as much as possible. Rudi is a nice piece to own, but is he the best you can do for your first round selection? I would see if other teams would give you more. I don't think Rudi is a difference-maker, but he is a good addition. As far as determining your keepers now, don't spend too much time on it. Lots of things can change by next year - so if you have LT and SJax as your core, then you should have good group to build on.

I thought about that too......could I go for more.  But, with the top 6 teams keeping 4 and the bottom 4 teams keeping 5, i am honestly surprised to be getting him.  And, the only other team out of the hunt has A-Train, Henry, and Turner (no wonder hes out of it huh?).  The standings looks like this by record

1. 8-3

2. 7-4 (me)

3. 7-4

4. 7-4

5. 6-5

6. 5-6

7. 5-6

8. 5-6

9. 4-7

10. 1-10

I don't see how you can say Rudi isn't a difference maker, especially with K Jones banged up. This guy needs a RB to make that run to the finals and Rudi is nothing if not consistent pointwise and he always plays, in that offense. As keepers you have LT, he's a 1st rounder next year, and Rudi, also a 1st round pick, as well as K Jones, sure to be a 1st-2nd round pick come next year. Screw your 1st round pick next year. Especially if the talent pool is diluted by keepers.

With that group you have I'd roll the dice and make that deal. This is the time of year that Rudi usually goes off, last week he didn't score but still had 111 yards. Go for it and good luck on your playoff run!
