I'd keep Portis, Fitz, Jacobs and Jones-Drew. Both Jacobs and MJD will probably be starting RB's for their respective teams next year.

obviously wait as long as you can to declare (I'm assuming you have up until next July/August?) as so much can change btwn now and then....but if I had to pick now I'd go with the RB's:  McGahee, Portis, Jacobs (stud next yr), and Jones-Drew.  RB's who aren't splitting time are fantasy gold and you basically can start 3.

You should always try and trade a player before dropping/cutting him from your team. If I don't mention that in my post consider it my assumption that you've already explored (or exhausted) trade possibilities.

Keep in mind - he said it is pt per reception league - if that's the case than keeping 4 RB's instead of Fitz and Boldin would not be advisable. As mentioned - a lot can change during the off-season. If I had to pick right now it would definately be: Fitz, Boldin, Portis, and McGahee.

These are for sure bets - a couple of your other guys you'd have a much better chance landing in the draft. For instance if you were to keep Maurice Jones-Drew and put McGahee back in the draft - who do you have a better chance of getting back in the draft? I like Jacobs a lot, but there is no guarantee that's his job next year. I think it should be his job, but rumors has Michael "The Burner" Turner going to the Giants.

I made that post knowing it was a ppr league. Doesn't matter - with so few RB's in situations where they're not sharing carries, you gotta gobble them up. There's a reason all the top backs (in ppr or non-ppr leagues) go first. You can always deal one later if you need to.... but as I - and you - said, alot can change btwn Dec 1st 06 and Sept 07. If all those backs are indeed featured backs not splitting carries, I'm keeping 'em.
