| General fantasy football question..I'm in a keeper league with a lottery system in place for next year. Anyway, one of our members, who's already made the playoff, is trying to tank his last game to play a different team schedule for the playoffs...is this allowed? If not, can you give an explantion why? Thanks.

| It's allowed if your commisioner allows it! I think that is Bullsh#t though, the other members of the league should go to the commish and demand that he play the best lineup possible. They may be in a similiar situation down the line and wouldn't want it to happen to them. I wouldn't stand for it! Smoke "With great power comes great responsibility"

Not a whole lot you can do now if your league doesn't have rules already in place to prevent this type of behavior. Lesson learned if you don't have a rule prohibiting this. For future reference - giving out fines is the best way to prevent this from happening. I'm in a couple leagues where there is a $10 fine for fielding an uncompetitive line-up. However, in my dynasty leagues - it's a $25 fine the first time it happens, $50 the second time, and the third time results in that owner getting thrown out of the league.
Handle it as you may, but I would suggest having a rule in place for throwing games for any league you get into. The situation you described is a guy trying to determine his own play-off match-up - what you will also see if you don't have a rule is the teams out of contention throwing games at the end of the year for a better pick the following year. Throwing games can effect who makes the play-offs, seeding in the play-offs, and draft position the following year. See if a rule can be put into place immediately - otherwise just make sure it gets addressed before next season.

I hate that crap... yeah, if it's within the rules there's not a lot you can probably do - but call him out on it, and get a rule in for next yr I guess.... it's lame - I think you have to play to win every wk. League integrity is a big thing and if someone's doing something against that maybe you could threaten to kick him out for next season...

You should always try and trade a player before dropping/cutting him from your team. If I don't mention that in my post consider it my assumption that you've already explored (or exhausted) trade possibilities. ******************************************************************************* $20 ea w/Vyse and Radiohead: Rios (me) vs Hall (them).
