I was OFFERED this trade, Ovechkin for my Holmqvist.  That's every fantasy GM's dream.  I picked up Holmqvist off waivers 2 weeks ago.  I just hope it does not get vetoed.  In my 20 team roto league G, A, PIM, PPP, GWG, +/-, W, S%, GAA, SO are counted.  Here is my team assuming the trade goes through...

C: Crosby, Forsberg, Modano, Gomez

LW: Ovechkin, Nagy, Sturm

RW: Hejduk, Satan, Kotalik

D: McCabe, Blake, Van Ryn

G: Huet, Laclaire

Ovechkin will help my G and GWG as I'm struggling in both.  I'm hoping Huet can continue his great play and carry my GAA and S% numbers.  With Hitchcock coaching the Jackets, their team D should improve and so should Leclaire's stats.  I'm going to try to improve my PIM by trading one of my C for a D-man, ideally Modano or Gomez.  What kind of D-man can I expect to get for Gomez or Modano?  Is Phaneuf a stretch?  How about Chara?

There is a trade pending in our league involving Toskala for Lidstrom & Brind'Amour.  Seems like a lot to give up for a goalie but it is a 20 team league so goalies are king.

A super nice deal for you and I'm sure you didn't even have to try. Either the dude doesn't know what he's doing or he's extremely desperate for a goalie. Hopefully you traded Holmqvist before he got pulled the past couple of games.

The trade went through.  His other goalies were Mason & Hedberg.  He was last in all goalie categories.
