So, Havlat isn't dressed against Nashville tonight (friday)...
anybody know what's up?
No reports of an injury from the Blues game.
While I'm on the Havlat topic, I have him on my roto team, I stuck with him through the ankle ordeal, and I'm wondering if I can stand to see him miss anymore time. My boy Spezza is on the shelf until after the all-star game atleast, so I'm missing quite a few games here.

My team: 6 F, 4 D, 2 G, 2 bench, 1 IR spots
Jagr; Spezza; Marleau; Briere; Havlat; Elias; St. Louis
McCabe; Chara; Boucher; D.Keith
Mason; DiPietro; Toskala; Vokoun

There's a couple intriguing FA's out there still:
J.Williams (Car) D. Cleary (Det) Semin (Was) Comrie (Sens)
Kariya (Nas) Neil (Sens) Pominville (Buf)

Mostly concerned with +/- at the moment, goals and the ever elusive SHP would be nice too.

Apparently it's a groin pull from the St Louis game, and Sunday's game looks iffy too.

I just traded for him myself, so this is near and dear, but those are very short rosters you've got with an apparently deep FA pool. I have to wait Havlat out, but you might not have to. I guess Spezza's not IR-able for you? I like Semin a lot from that list you give, but he's probably one of the bigger +/- risks there.

Justin Williams and Comrie (love him on the Sens) are probably safer, but despite my homework, I still find +/- a crapshoot to predict. SHP? Lombardi, and other smart speedsters on the PK.

Spezza isn't listed as IR in the Yahoo leagues right now, and Vokoun already has my IR spot anyways. Williams was -3 against philly the other night, and if that doesn't scream "defensive zone liability" I don't know what does, other than maybe Ron Wilson at the majority of his forwards not named Marleau.
If Havlat misses any more than sunday's game I'm gonna freak out, and probably snag somebody off the wire. It's like the guy is made out of some strange faberge/peanut brittle combination.
thanks for the advice.

Another question while I'm at it... Who do you recommend dropping when Vokoun gets back? Reports have him starting as soon as Tuesday, and he'll likely be backing up Mason today. I'm strongly considering trying to pull a 2 fer 1 trade to try and shore up my last D spot or perhaps acquire a premiere 'tender.

Yeah, but it's faberge peanut brittle that can score at will when it feels pretty.

Given the latest developments (Havlat out 1-2+ weeks with a "popped groin" - ouch), you could also wait and see with Vokoun a bit (he's not exactly renowned for his durability, and keeping Mason active a little longer shouldn't hurt you, right?) and see if either Havlat or Spezza (or some other unlucky stiff on your roster) becomes IR-eligible.

The trade route would help too, and could give you some breathing room. Good luck.
