qstar (2/8/2007) Is Holmqvist still available? You mentioned you had him before...he's putting up some pretty compelling numbers so far in 2007. If you could add him without sacrificing Crosby, I'd do that instead making the trade.
That's a great idea, and less risky...

| I accepted the Hasek/Getzlaf for Crosby/Hejduk deal. I prefer Hasek over Emery. I had to act quickly as bidding war for him began with several other teams. In a 20 team league goalie are hard to come by. No one ahead of me in the standings is willing to trade their goalie. Loosing Crosby will hurt but Gomez/Forsberg will carry my assists. I'm currently in 2nd in A. Hejduk has underachieved all year. I'd rather have Getzlaf who will help my +/- and should be able to score more. I dropped Rob Blake as he's killing my +/-. My team is now: C: Gomez, Forsberg, Getzlaf LW: Ovechkin, Nagy, Avery (he also can play RW and C) RW: Satan, Clowe, rotating spot (tomorrow it is Prucha) D: McCabe, Redden, Berard, rotating spot G: Hasek, Huet IR: Leclaire I should be able to gain a ton of ground in all goalie categories, especially W and GAA. I've several trade offers out trying to improve G and +/-.

| Here are the top ranked goalies on the wire: Thibault, Hedberg, Boucher, Johnson, Weekes, Conklin, Brust, Esche.... That's the garbage that's available. That is why I made the trade. Its the only way I could move up.

Wow, that IS crap. When I made my remark about shuffling G3s the rest of the year, I didn't realize there were nothing but "G5"s left...
Well done getting Hasek. Yes, Getzlaf should help your +/- and get a few points, I just figure he's more of a keeper-type than a this-year type.
Crosby's loss will leave a mark, but you won't miss Hejduk. I own him, disappointedly, in the TMRX.
Good luck the rest of the way.
