| In a 12-team, head to head 5x5 league, I've got the following roster: C: Bengie Molina 1B: Albert Pujols (I have him on two teams now. Woot!) 2B: Rickie Weeks 3B: Joe Crede SS: Rafael Furcal OF: Grady Sizemore (with the 24th pick!) / Ichiro / Juan Pierre UTIL: Carlos Guilen BN: Adam LaRoche, Orlando Hudson, Chris Duffy, Gary Matthews Jr. (Erk.) I'm pretty sure I'm going to dominate steals. I should hit for a pretty good average, but I'm kinda worried about power. I'm trying to move GMJ, because he pretty much sucks and will flop this year, I think. My pitching: SP: Jered Weaver SP: C.C. Sabbathia RP: Eric Gagne RP: Jose Valverde P: Ian Snell P: Randy Johnson P: Dontrelle Willis BN: Pedro Martinez Martinez is apparently out until the All-Star break. Options on the wire are Chris Burke, Adrian Gonzalez, Johnny Estrada, Carlos Quinten, Jeremy Hermida, Scott Olsen, Adam Wainwright, Anibal Sanchez, Rafael Soriano, Clay Hensley, Vincente Padilla, Cla Meredith, Jeremy Sowers, Jake Westbrook, Scot Shields, Doug Davis, Chuck James and Solomon Torres. Any advice?

you need to drop Duffy and grab Adrian Gonzalez before you do anything. It seems like you could probably get away with dropping Pedro but I think in H2H leagues it's better to have a bench full of pitchers. If your hitters are stacked enough then you won't rotate them that much. that being said, Scott Olsen shouldn't be a free agent, period. Try and trade Randy Johnson + another player to get an upgrade before the season starts.

Sounds good; should I get Johnny Estrada? Bengie Molina's not exactly the top of the catching heap.

Well, that's the problem with having the number one pick (and the accompanying #12 waiver priority). I lost out on Gonzalez and Olsen. I'm trying to get Mark Teahen, who was cut, for Chris Duffy. I made the Estrada-for-Molina move.
Offensive wire options now include Ryan Freel, Ian Kinsler, Ensberg, Huff, Hillenbrand, Burke, Carlos Quinten, Edwin Encarnacion and Jeremy Hermida. Pitchers are Wainwright, Kerry Wood, Noah Lowry, Sowers, Anibal Sanchez, Greg Maddux, and all the others (save Olsen.)

Heres what I would do:
Hudson for Kinsler
Crede for Ensberg (or Huff, or Encarnacion) I like them all better
Duffy for Freel (proven speed with more flexibility)
Matthews for Wainright - He will close at some point this year and can do it from the SP slot - he should be on someones roster.
Pedro for Torres - Pedro will not be back until August I think - no reason to let a closer sit on the wire in favor of a guy who might not pitch this year.
