| well, i rank them differently. Brodeur is 2 for me, Kip is 3. i think you overestimate Emery and Backstrom and you underestimate Hasek, Turco, Fleury, Miller. i don't have Kolzig and Khabibulin quite so far down the list than you do, they're both better options than Fernandez in my books. i'd bump Toskala up the list too but that may just be the Leaf fiend in me.

Mason and Vokoun are both missing from the list so I would rank them in the mid-teens area. Bryz is still the backup to JSG at Anaheim so I wouldn't even rank him. I agree with Ian that you are ranking Emery and Backstrom too high so I would move both down to between Miller and Biron. So it would look kinda like this for me:
Luongo, Brodeur, Kiprusoff, Giguere, Lundqvist, Hasek, Nabokov, Turco, Miller, Fleury, Emery, Biron, Mason, Ward, Vokoun, Lehtonen, Backstrom, Toskala, DiPietro, Budaj, Kolzig, Roloson, Khabibulin, Fernandez, Legace

| I'm worried about Emery having a down year after a long playoff run just like Ward. Is this valid?

im not worried about OTW and how they'll finish near the top of the league again this season, and Emery will take a good chunk of that credit.

I always see Legace not getting much love but he played pretty well for me down the stretch last season after I needed an IR filler.
In his last 20 games after Jan 1st, he won 13 of them with 5 shutouts!
Any thoughts on him moving up at all?

Legace will go as his team goes and i just don't see STL as being a stalwart defensive team. i think you have him pegged about right on your list and if you were going to move him up the list then i wouldn't move him more than 2 slots, certainly not higher than Toskala or DiP.
