Who would you rather have on your bench this season? In past years PJ Brown has score around 10 points a game with 8 rebounds with a steal and a block per night. He has good percentages in both FG and FT. In Murphy's one injury free year averaged more points and more rebounds but less blocks and steals with lower percentages. Murphy is young and could improve, Brown is old and could slip. Any thoughts?

pretty similar players in terms of Points and Boards...Brown was the better option in years past b/c he held advantages in the % and steals/blocks. So far though, Brown hasn't been able to get the boards or points that murphy has gotten.

I still think Brown will get his stats so I would stick with him if you have him. Murphy will probably have a similar year to his breakout 2 years ago. You are right though, Brown could slip due to age, but I would take my chances with him.

I would take Murphy, Mr. Double-Double. I'm mostly worried about all that talk coming out of NO that David West is going to cut into Brown's PT. Plus the age factor; while Brown is slowly on the decline, Murphy is on the rise. The potential with Murphy is much greater, although there is a slightly higher risk factor (what with the injury and all).

Thanks for the input guys. They are both currently on waivers in my league and they come off tonight. I have Donyell Marshall in my forward spot right now and I feel like I should get some insurance in case he continues with limited minutes. I don't really want to use my waiver on either player but I am sure that 1 or both will clear. I feel like I will go with PJ just because his averages are much better but it is great to get some other opinions.

Yeah, probably no need to use your waivers on them...one will pass through i bet. You're not going to drop Donyell for one of them are you?? Just making sure!
