Wonder what you guys think. Hope I didn't screw the pooch too bad.

Standard Yahoo Roto (2 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 2 util, 4 D, 2 G) 11 man, drafted 9th.

C Nylander (9), Elias (10), Gomez (12)
LW Vanek (4) Semin (7) Tanguay (8)
RW Hossa (2) Havlat (5) Hemsky (15) Neil (17)
D Souray (7) Redden (11) Ehrhoff (14) Philips (13)
G Kipper (2) Lundqvist (3) Budaj (16)

Happy with my forwards, although my C could be a bit better. LOVE my goalies and expect to win the 4 categories easily. But my D is extremely weak. Guess I'll have to upgrade later on.[/quote]

who was your first pick? i assume Hossa? getting Kip/Lundqvist in 2/3 was huge. your team is very strong and yeah i agree that with only 44 D starting slots then you should've done better than Ehrhoff and Phillips as D3 and 4 but still, they're not without value. i like Phillips for +/- and PIMs actually, although probably not in a start 4d/11 man league.

i think you've evaluated your own team right, your D are your weak spot. i'd look to get some +/- help on D since Souray will drag you down there and i wouldn't expect Vanek to offset that +/- with the +40 or whatever he put up last season.

i suggest you take your time and you could consider shopping Lundqvist and a D4 eventually for a G downgrade and D upgrade. i think that Budaj will be a strong option for you as a G2 and he'll give a bunch of W's for you.

looks good. and you didn't screw the pooch.

Draft Thoughts?

Long time hockey fan, but never drafted a fantasy team before.
