It's not a vendetta. I just don't like ESPN and I've been unimpressed with the transition. No hard feelings, no ill will. Just a personal decision.
I understand what you're saying. I mean, if you don't like ESPN...you don't like 'em. I'm that way with certain things as well. It's hard to get that bad taste out of your mouth with some companies...like Wal-Mart for me. I just hate shopping there (employee's are rude, too crowded, etc.), but if there's a particular product at Wal-Mart that's on sale that I absolutely need to have, I gut it out and shop there. Sort of a lame analogy, I guess.

I just find it hard to believe if you're a TRUM reader, a Matthew Berry fan, or a fan of the TMR product, including the TMR writers, that you would stop reading altogether because of ESPN. The product is just too good to pass up, no matter where it's hosted. I see nothing but a positive outlook from the ESPN/TMR relationship...the page layouts and content are nothing like they've ever done before now that we're there.

If you don't follow us over to ESPN, we're gonna miss you, Aroquentin. You've been a big contributor to these boards.

RE: TMR shutting down?

Honestly, I won't be following either. Below is a definitive statement about following the content to a different URL. You are allowed to have complaints, but this is starting to look like you have a vendetta against ESPN and are searching to find things to post on here to destroy TMR.
fordbw (7/2/2007)
That would be a shame, because I won't be following TMR to ESPN.
RE: TMR shutting down?
snyd27 (7/2/2007)
Why not? And, I believe our NFL team previews came out around that time as well. So, if you were expecting full content now...I'm not sure why. Most of the columns for the NFL didn't debut until the start of the season, which was the case for the two columns I wrote last year for our NFL coverage.
The content on ESPN, via the '07 draft kit, is excellent. Ken Daube (The Roto Addict) was hard at work again, along with Matthew. And, add in Engel and Karabell...pretty good as far as I'm concerned. I would venture to say that Ken had a lot to do with the individual player profiles, too.

With the acquisition still looming, we just don't know what's going to happen with the site (via writing content). However, it is a known fact, per Matthew Berry, that these boards are to remain intact.

RE: TMR shutting down?

Why not?
