My other choices were at the pick: Frank Gore (his broken hand and bummy knees scare me), Shaun Alexander (this probably should have been the pick, but again his injuries do scare me but looking back I almost wished I picked him), Willie Parker (I almost got him but I wouldn't have picked him over Alexander anyways) and Joseph Addai (I just don't see him getting more points than Peyton in Peyton's offense). I think Indianapolis' defense is going to be awful this year with all their losses in free agency so I think the Colts will have to outscore everybody to win this year. I think Peyton might have his biggest year yet.

With the Baltimore pick... all the wide receivers were gone at this point anyways and everybody was starting to get their 3rd string running backs or backup qb at this point and I figured I would get Baltimore and then come back and get a couple of the wide receivers who were going to be there when my next pick came up anyways and the actual guys I would of picked up were there anyways. My Nate Kaeding pick, I froze up on that pick because I had Vinateri locked in for that pick and the guy before me chose him and I just went with the second best kicker available.

I should of chose another receiver with my sixth round pick but I figured I better pick up another quality running back just in case McGahee gets hurt again and I will have somebody of quality to throw in there for the bye weeks.

I completely agree with your assessment of my team and I was surprised Yahoo had me ranked so low... it's mainly because they have McGahee projected way lower than I think/thought. I really do hate my wr corp but my league clearly valued wide receivers more than running backs late 2nd round-early 7th round. Guys like Brandon Jacobs and Ahman Green lasted until the 8th-9th round.

RE: how did my fantasy football draft go?

It would really help to know the scoring for the league, if passing TD are worth 4 points I do not like the Manning pick at #4, if they are worth 6 and passing yards are 1 point for every 25 yards, I don't hate the pick. You reached on Manning, way reached on your D, and your kicker. Yet, I think you ended up with a decent team, not great but decent. Your RB are good, you have 2 good start WR and you have a good QB. As for whom you should start at your 3rd WR slot, you play whomever has the better match up.

how did my fantasy football draft go?

I just completed my draft and would like your thoughts, criticism and advice going forward. This is my first year doing fantasy football. I did two mock drafts and still didn't do that well I think. ($20 dollar league)

Starting roster: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 DEF.

Here's how the draft went:

1st Round (4)- Peyton Manning QB

2nd Round (17)- Willis McGahee RB

3rd Round (24)- Reggie Bush RB

4th Round (37)- Javon Walker WR

5th Round (44)- Donald Driver WR

6th Round (57)- Thomas Jones RB

7th Round (64)- Baltimore DEF

8th Round (77)- Kellen Winslow TE

9th Round (84)- Bernard Berrian WR

10th Round (97)- Nate Kaeding K

11th Round (104)- Greg Jennings WR

12th Round (117)- Eli Manning QB

13th Round (124)- Vincent Jackson WR

14th Round (137)- Brandon Jackson RB

15th Round (144)- Drew Bennett WR

My league went completely crazy rounds 3-6 with the wide receivers and that's why I tried to make up for it later by drafting some guys like Berrian and Jennings who could turn out to be good. Who would you guys rather start: Berrian or Jennings? Eli plays Atlanta on Peyton's bye week... so my stupid pick there might turn out to be a good one. I really want to get tight end Greg Olsen from Chicago just in case Winslow gets hurt again but can I really drop anybody for him?

Yahoo's first week projections have me ranked really low. Does my team at least have a chance?
