i'm in a 12 team, standard 5x5 league. we have a $300 cap with 25 total players allowed. starting lineups include 1 C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 4 OF, 1 DH, 4 SP, 2 RP. here is my team:
C - $4 - Jeff Mathis
1B - $15 - David Ortiz
2B - $4 - Tadahito Iguchi
SS - $4 - Clint Barmes
3B - $21 - Troy Glaus
OF - $29 - Carlos Beltran
OF - $10 - Carl Crawford
OF - $7 - Pedro Feliz
OF - $7 - Ryan Freel
DH - $7 - Travis Hafner
SP - $31 - Jason Schmidt
SP - $5 - Brian Lawrence
SP - $4 - Gustavo Chacin
SP - none
RP - $25 - Eric Gagne
RP - $20 - Armando Benitez (or $4 Todd Jones)
Backups are $4 Josh Barfield (2B), $4 Andy Marte (3B), $4 Brad Hawpe (OF).....
Free agent SPs available are Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Kelvim Escobar, Kenny Rogers, Kerry Wood, Javier Vazquez, Bronson Arroyo, Matt Clement, Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder and a few other medium namers.
Few free agent OFs, Preston Wilson is the best available.

Yuck. Crawford and Bay I see as about equal in that trade but even if you give an edge to bay, not a good deal You switch from Glaus to Zito for an extra $10 -- Glaus could possibly make a profit, no way on a $31 Zito. Sure you save $16 going from Benitez but you get an uproven 2B in his 1st league in the majors. I would pass.
