Some of you may have seen this posted in another spot on the site. Need a 3B becuase of Chavez injury, AL 5X5 league with Net runs as the 5th category. Players traded to the NL are lost.

I've been offered a couple of trades, which should I do?

I understand wanting to dump Beltran because of the trade risk, but can I vote neither?

Yes you can. I accidentally hit the submit button before putting it there as an option. No 3B until Chavez gets back. Free Agents are REALLY slim.

Now that Lackey has pitched well the last two starts, does this deal still make sense? On my team, Lackey gets replaced by Takatsu (already have Marte up)or Brazelton. Unfortunately, the extra position player I have that replaces Chavez has to be Rivas (Only once Hairston plays his 5th game in the OF) so I really don't solve my hole with Chavez. However, everyone seems to beleive that the upgrade of Huff from Damon makes it worthwhile anyway.

OK, I've made the Damon / Huff trade (with Lackey and Meche) and I feel good about the upgrade. Brazelton pitched well today as my replacement for Lackey so now I need to focus on the risk/reward of keeping Beltran. If he gets traded to the NL, I lose him butget a few extra Free Agent $. Most teams won't offer me full value for him with the risk but I was offered Blalock and Lawton for Beltran and Fullmer. I could probably also get him to give me Grady Sizemore who is on his bench which would give me some protection if Lawton were traded. Beltran has slowed down a lot after a great first month and the trade rumors keep gaining momentum. YTD, Lawton and Blalock actually have better numbers than Beltran and Fullmer.

Is it worth the risk or should I cut bait and get Blalock and Lawton?
