For my second nomination, another good Canadian boy: Lionel "Big Train" Conacher.

You'd have a hard time finding a better all-around athlete.

2 Stanley Cups as one of the league's most feared All-Star defensemen. 1 Grey Cup as a halfback for the Toronto Argonauts(Before the CFL was a joke). Played on a championship AAA baseball team, starred on soccer and Lacrosse teams, ran track and was an amateur boxing champion. Fought Jack Dempsey.

He'd have whooped Bo's ass.

Hey Pete,
I was wondering if I could get a hold of that wonderful grass you've been smoking? You know the one which makes you suggest that Bobby Orr was a superior athlete to Wayne "My Highest Goal Total for a Season is 12 more than Bobby Orr's Highest Games Played total" Gretzky. It must be some serious shit to get a reaction like that.
Brian
I jest.

Wayne Gretzky was the greatest player on one of the greatest teams at a time when there was no such thing as defensive hockey. Doesn't take anything away from the fact that he was great...

But Bobby Orr was the greatest.
