This site did come up near the end of hockey season when attention is focused mainly on baseball getting going... and now football is getting going... With the NHL season status is up in the air with the stupid CBA non-bargaining going on...
I still can't help but wonder how big and knowledgable the hockey core of posters will be here on TMR.com...
Think it's in any danger of being "downsized"...?
Pete's a fellow canuck...don't think he'll let it!

Mulder, I think this board will have about as much activity as it does now during hockey season (if there is a season). I've been in Fantasy Hockey leagues for the past 5 years, so at the minimum we can talk shit on this board...

Sounds good to me. I was fearing that when it comes to finally getting some hockey advice this site was going to fall short since it all seems geared towards the other sports...
Somehow I just get the feeling that TMR isn't going to have his big "kick-off hoopla" for the hockey season as he's doing with football now...
Who's the resident 'expert' for hockey?
Just want to know for when the fastest game on earth finally gets cooking...
Sides meeting again July 21... I expect major headway this time out...

I follow hockey as well, I'll be around to chat on the boards during the season, should there be one.

Okay, so I heard a rumor yesterday from what may be a reliable source that the Bruins are preparing a 2 year, $6 million dollar contract to Eric Lindros. As a B's fan, we've had a horrible offseason, losing Murray, Rolston, O'Donnell, Knuble, etc. But Lindros the gimp? Horrible. Apparently the other top target is Pavol Demitra, which I don't mind as much. Not that it's likely we'll see much of the NHL this year anyways...

Why would any team pay Eric $6 million? You absolutely have to go after Demitra before you even look Lindros' way, at least Demitra can play.
And don't forget about Joe signing to play in Europe! How is that gonna bury the Bruins? Or did I miss a retraction of some kind?
