Dave,
You are correct to call me on the mediocre label. It was a poor characterization. Vick is a great QB. However, fantasy-wise he is vastly overrated.
Vick will go in the first two rounds of virtually every draft this season and Brady will likely fall to below round 6.
You wouldn't dream of trading one of your first two picks for a 6th round pick before the draft. If you draft Vick in the first two rounds, that is exactly what you do.
When you can get the comparable scorer, Tom Brady, 5 rounds later, Vick is completely overvalued.
Keep Green and look for Brady in the 6th round and you'll get a tandem that will score better than Vick and whatever RB you would grab in the first round.

Addict,
I agree with your logic 100% on QB's. That's why I never draft them early. I would much rather have Brady 5 rounds later than to spend an early pick on Vick(Hey, that rhymes!). BTW, I was a tad harsh with my last post. I can be a real asshole sometimes, at least according to my wife! I'm looking foward to reading your first column. Later,
Dave

I agree that you can't go with Vick, however tempting. But I don't think Green is such a no-brainer over McAllister.
This is a keeper league, remember, and Green is a little older and has more miles on the odometer, (Green has been playing 7 years verses McAllister's 3 years), while McAllister hasn't peaked yet, IMO, and is only going to get better. They are both studs, so you can't go wrong with either, I suppose, but I say take McAllister.

i agree that deuce is the keeper here. His scoring is due to go up and he's already well over 2,000 yards from scrimmage.

Man... MNS read every reply and was drooling at the opportunity to recommend keeping Deuce and wouldn't you know the last 2 posters beat me to it. Figures. Deuce is Ahman Green only younger and with less wear on the tires and plays on a relatively young offense, while the Packers don't have a true #1 receiver, and Favre will most likely retire after this year, leaving defenses to focus on stopping Ahman. Green may outrpoduce McAllister one more year (though probably not by a whole lot) but after that, Deuce will be the guy to have.
Trading both Vick and Ahman for high draft picks, if possible, would be wise.
