I am thrilled that the Bulls selected Gordon with the #3 pick!! I was really scared that they would go with Deng at 3, and that would have been a terrible pick at that point. I am not sold on Deng at all, but being a 7th pick, I'm not as worried about him. I didn't want to waste our #3 on him, though. I liked Igoudala and Luke Jackson more than Deng, but I didn't watch any of them on a regular basis in college, so my opinion is based on a few games in the tournament, random highlights, articles, and worth of mouth.

I was a little stunned that Orlando would pass up a sure thing like Okafor. They have been struggling to find a big man ever since they let Shaq slip away.. and now they pick a highschooler that may take 3-4 years to really develop into a consistent talent. I, personally, am sold on Okafor, and after watching Big Ben and the Pistons run over the rest of the NBA in the playoffs, I think Okafor would bring some of those same attributes to his team.. but the poor guy will have to lose miserably in Charlotte for awhile now.

I feel the same way and was about to post the same exact opinion on the Bulls and their two picks. Love Gordon but would have liked them to select Igoudala or Jackson over Deng. I don't think Deng is going to be as good in the NBA, I am picturing another Eddie Robinson, something that this team doesn't need.

I would like to see them trade Deng and maybe Crawford since you know he is going to be unhappy with his playing time for a veteran that can help now. The team is too young and needs a good vet to bring them along.

Deng wishes he could fill up the basket like Eddie Robinson. Seriously.

Didn't it seem odd at the time when the Bulls took Gordon 3, passing on Deng and Iguodala. Certainly, they must've expected at least 1 of them to be there at 7, but both of them? Not often does the Bulls front office actually do something that makes them appear intelligent, but this certainly seems like one of those instances.

Really too bad they're gonna give up on Crawford in all this. Sure, he's got issues, but how many guys in the league can score 50 pts and make 8 3s on any given night? It's a short list, but Crawford's on it. If they're smart they'll deal him now, or at least manufacture some kind of sign and trade (wouldn't he be great on the Hawks) but again, that would too smart for the Bulls.

Next topic: Who will have the biggest fantasy impact of these 3?:

Devin Harris
Kirk Snyder
Ben Gordon

I saw the rumors that Paxson is talking to Seattle about a sign-and-trade of Crawford for Ray Allen, being the cornerstones of the deal. I'd LOVE that deal for Chicago, and if we unload a big contract like E-Rob or Jerome in that.. it would be even sweeter. I know it's just a rumor, and little chance of it happening, but it's on my mind nonetheless.

If the Pacers get Dampier, they will be VERY hard to beat.

I like that deal too, anything to get a proven Vet in here. The only thing about bringing in a guard is there going to have a lot with Hinrich, Gordon, Duhon, and a Ray Allen. I would like to see them deal for a real good SF. Move Deng and Chandler or Deng and Crawford.
