Wow - deliberately running into a guy like he did is sure to hurt the pocketbook. I'm guessing NASCAR sits him down for at least a race.
As a guy who grew up watching sprint car racing, I have always liked guys like Kahne, Newman and Stewart who cut their teeth running sprints. (I know Gordon ran sprints when he was young, but I still hate him)

Can you believe no one got sat out? I mean, I CAN believe it because crapcar is so inconsistent, but common... these guys were at their worst that week..

About the same NASCAR not penalizing Jimmy Johnson for illegal shocks last week. They were quoted as saying something like the components were all legal even if the "spirit of the rules were violated". I read something that said they were designed not as shocks but as spring supports, which caused the rear of the car to ride and cause more downforce on the rear of the car.
