If I was Coach K I don't sign a deal unless I have Kobe. Otherwise he is coaching a team not much better than he has left at Duke. I hope Coach K stays but if he does go to LA he should make the Staple Center into Coach K2 Court.

I don't think he'll do it. Does he really need the money? The Lakers are going to have a mess of a team next year, and I don't think he'll make the same mistake Pitino and Calipari made...

As a Warriors fan, I am naturally a Lakers hater. I hope Coach K takes the job and soaks them for an ungodly amount of money. Then, I hope Kobe gets sent up state for a couple of years. Without Phil, Shaq and Kobe, and no extra cash to sign people above the cap, the Lakers would plummet back to the bottom of the west.

The Lakers will be fine next year. Kobe will stay and they will get some quality players for Shaq and/or through free agency. Look for Payton to rebound. I am saying this as a T-Wolves fan as well.
