Just got this offer in one of my leagues, regular Yahoo league, 12 teams normal stats, my team is

sg-K. Bryant
g-A. Iguodala
sf-R. Artest
pf-Z. Randolph
f-S. Battier
c-Ku. Thomas
c-Y. Ming
utl-M. Jaric
utl-G. Wallace
bn-M. James

Hmm...trading one malcontent all-around achiever for another...interesting.
I would do it, Artest gets a lot of love here, and IF he repeats last year's statistics for a whole season, he might slightly outperform Pierce.
If I knew how to use the font size and bolding functions, I would have done something clever with the text in "IF" to make it really big, and then make a "really big IF" joke....you see where this is going...
Artest's stats last year was in 7 games...7. Not exactly a huge sample size. The rest of his career doesn't show him to be as good a shooter he was in those 7 games, nowhere close really. That will directly affect his percentages, his 3ptm, and his points. There's also a pretty huge bear standing in the corner that is begging to tear you to pieces...that bear's name is insanity, or something funny...damn, this post is getting long and miserable.
Simply put, Pierce is the surer thing, and Artest's defensive stats are replaceable from your own team and Pierce. I think you do this if you want to replace risk with equal reward

If you're the one getting Pierce, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
