This duplicates a thread on the Premium board - sorry about that. I can't pass up the chance to post the first REAL thread on the new board.
I'm in the middle of making a multi-player deal, and have my choice of Burnett or Buehrle in the deal. Both will be in the last year of their contracts, with their salaries being equal. League is 5x5 with the standard categories. I think Buehrle's the safer pick, but I think Burnett has the potential to earn a higher profit.
Any opinions on which one I should take?

Buerhle. No question in my mind. I always go with the sure thing in starting pitching (or, well, the surer thing) and Buerhle is just much safer than Burnett in all formats. Keep in mind that Burnett is switching to a tougher league where he doesn't get to face a pitcher every 9 batters. The parks are smaller (notably his home one) and while I think signing him helped the jays, his stats won't necessarily reflect that.
Go with the guy who throws more strikes in a bigger ballpark with a better team. You can't lose with him.
Buerhle is the man here.

I would agree, but keep in mind that Buehrle logged 260 innings on that left arm and had 1 month shorter off-season.
