I offered Wideman + Samuelsson for his Zubrus + Witt.
He came back with Zubrus + Cairns for my Wideman + Frolov.
I have yet to respond, but I'm torn between either ending negotiations or offering Wideman + Samuelsson for Zubrus + Cairns.
I was planning not to protect Samuelsson in my deep keeper roto-pool, but Frolov was about to get a long-term contract from me.
We count G, A, +/- and PIMs for forwards, and G, A and PIMs (i.e. not +/-) for defensemen.
I go into the auction/draft weak on D-PIMs and F-Assists.
Is Zubrus a lock to play with Ovechkin? Is Frolov equivalent to Zubrus, either way?
Who will get more PIMs this year: Witt, Cairns or Wideman?
I think I can afford to lose Wideman, as my 6 starting D project to be Lidstrom (just obtained for Havlat and a pick), M-A. Bergeron, Carle, Pothier, Numminen and some PIM-guy.
I figure Witt will get more ice time than Cairns, while Wideman will play lots.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Steffen

short on D Pims then Cairns is a good target but i agree that Witt will get more time. i think that Frolov takes a hit in pts this season with the Kings getting younger and Zubrus goes up a bit if he does get some time with Vech.
i'd make the counter and leave it there. i think it's a good move.
