I've been offered Duncan, Marbury, J. Nelson & Nazr Mohammed for Yao, Dalembert and Alston. It looks like a nice deal for me, but I'm already in 1st and don't want to take the FT% hit w/ Duncan, so I'll probably turn it down. Am I wrong?
Here's my team (9-cat 12 team roto league):
Parker (PG)
Pierce (SG)
Ridnour (G)
Jamison (SF)
Okur (PF)
Childress (F)
Yao (C)
Dalembert (C)
Kevin Martin (Util)
Alston (Util)
Gomes (Bench)
D. Stoudamire (Bench)
Krstic (Bench)

I'd take the free throw hit and do the trade. Even though you are in first, you shouldn't rest on your laurels if an offer like this comes by. Dalembert will not keep up his high level play of late, and Jameer will only get better as the season goes on.

definitely an interesting offer. but i'm immediately suspicious when i'm offered more players than i'm giving up. i don't trust "sturbury" so you'd be giving up three starters (yao, dalembert and alston) for 2 and a half (duncan and nelson, with marbury just driving you crazy). nazr just isn't better than the other center options you have in kristic or okur.

so to me it come down to two questions:

1) will yao keep up this pace? (or near it)
i think yes, and duncan has started to slow down, even if he's past his injury struggles.

2) will marbury ever be a regular starter for your team?
i see it as a no, unless nelson continues to struggle and that's not exactly a vote _for_ the trade now is it.

... trust your instinct and turn this one down, unless you like the gamble on nelson (i'm not sure on him yet, but i'm sometimes too conservative). but if you could get a better forward option instead of steph+nazr you could move okur or kristic to center (in most systems i believe) then have options with granger, and the injured chilress and i wouldn't have issue with the core piece of the offer in yao+alston for duncan+nelson.
