other team just lost d.wade & is a big roy fan (UW fan)

welcome to the boards! as a friendly hint, try not to put the actual trade itself in the sub-heading for the post, as it makes it hard to remember who we're dealing with.

As for the deal itself, I think's pretty good value for you--you def win the trade but I would try and offer up Andre Miller before I offered Kidd--this owner is likely pretty desperate. Good thinking on the U-Dub thing though.

I always think an important consideration when trading 3-for-2 is who you will be able to pick up with the open roster spot. However, looking at the 5 players involved only...

Player, Team
FG%
FT%
3P
REB
AST
STL
BLK
PTS
Ray Allen, Sea.453.8933.04.34.21.60.227.0
Amare Stoudemire, Pho.593.7890.09.50.80.71.320.1
Total Averages.505.8353.013.85.02.31.547.1
Jason Kidd, NJ.426.7971.58.08.81.70.414.2
Brandon Roy, Por.446.8260.84.03.61.30.215.8
Mehmet Okur, Uta.468.7931.87.41.90.50.518.4
Total Averages.447.8064.119.414.43.41.148.3
Difference (Total Avgs)+.058+.029-1.1-5.6-9.4-1.1+0.4-1.2

You can see that you would gain a lot in FG% and a fair amount in FT%. Then the counting stats are a little unfair considering it is a 3-for-2 trade, but you come out ahead on BLK even so, and should be able to be close to even on REB, 3PM and STL while winning PTS by a substantial margin. I'd look at your recent weeks to see if you can afford to give up the AST. And then you should add in the 6th player you would pick up. If it looks like the cats match up well for you, then I can certainly see doing a deal like this (especially given Kidd's injury and possible lack of motivation).

Check to see if Blake is on the wire.

Honour your pain, embrace your fantasy
Trust inner eyes, through waste they'll lead the way
Sail on the wave that brings yourself to perfection
And life'll let you see.
