| The Canucks Orca logo is stupid. They should have got rid of it. The Flames will take the NW division back this year.

| the Panthers? uh no. i like Vokoun but he'll be left all alone for way too much of the season and he ain't no Luongo when 'berto was left alone for way too many years in Miami. what have the Panthers done that could be viewed as a step up? why would you think the Flames are going to retake the NW crown? the Avs look to be the team that has decided to try and do something this offseason and if they can get any semblance of goaltending they could just leap over everyone. how about the Wild? they quietly put together a great season last year and they did so without their best player for 2/3rds of it. or even the Canucks could retain the crown. they still have their MVP and rumours still persist that Forsberg could go join his buddy Naslund to actually form a formidable 2nd line. debate is good however.

| I think that CGY will the division because they have the best overall team (on paper), with the least problems. The Keenan experiment will either be a great success or a complete disaster. I think it will be the former as he has done well in the past coaching a vet laden teams. They will be tough at home and should be better on the road with iron Mike on board. Hamrlik and Stuart may be missed but Aucoin, Sarich, Eriksson will make them tougher and better in their own end. Nolan will outpreform Amonte, McCarthy and Friesen's production in the first 30 games. Good riddance. Here is their projected lineup: Up front: Tanguay-Conroy-Iggy Huselius-Langkow-Lombardi Nolan-Moss-Boyd Yelle-Nilson-Primeau On D: Phaneuf-Aucoin Regehr-Sarich Warrener-Eriksson Hale I expect them to be tougher this year with an improved forecheck. VAN: Luongo is great but the team still have not addressed their inability to score. Unless Naslund goes back to his 90-100 point self and Morrison pitches in they will not be better than CGY. COL: I think the team overachieved last year, big time. Their D-man are not great. If Stastny and Wolski take a step forward, Sakic continues to dominate, Smyth contributes his 35-40g and most of all Budaj plays like he did the last 15 games, they will contend for the division. EDM: They will be the division doormat again. MIN: Solid team. I predict the order of finish will be CGY, COL, VAN, MIN, EDM, with CGY, COL and VAN making the playoffs.
