I'm contemplating dealing one of my top 2 closers for an another ace SP.
12 team mixed roto keeper (we keep 5)
3rd place, but really hurting in ERA and WHIP thanks to some early season blow ups. Have traded for some solid starters, but think 1 more is needed to make a dent in the numbers.
I have Nathan, Papelbon, Gregg, Embree and Myers on the DL (Hennessey and Gordon are on the wire too).
One team has Webb, Haren, Hamels and Clemens and needs a closer.
Do I try and trade Papelbon or Nathan for one of his 3 aces or just go for a Gregg for Clemens deal?
Here's my staff (we count holds as well): Peavy, Bonderman, Felix, Schilling, Guthrie, Nathan, Papelbon, Gregg, Otsuka, Broxton, Embree, Myers - DL
Leave a link. Will answer. Thanks.

If you can pull off Gregg for Clemens do it, regardless of the closer for ace deal you want. I like that idea. Given your closer status, you should be far ahead, and at worst, keep the lead (instead of extendin it even further). I would target Hamels personally.

if you can get Clemens for Gregg that's the first move. if it fails then i'd offer up Pap for any of the 3 you mention, you won't do badly if you land any of the 3.

| i really dont think gregg for clemens is going to get accepted, clemens is really being overvalued in just about every league i am in. yeah do either papelbon or nathan for any of these webb haren or hamels. If the other guy really needs saves he should bite on one of those. Again, if gregg for clemens gets rejected(it probably will) then try one of the above offers. OH and now it the time to sell high on bonderman, he falls off a cliff every year after the allstar break. ramdes (6/14/2007) I'm contemplating dealing one of my top 2 closers for an another ace SP.
