The guy I'm dealing with has V-mart too. Would it make more sense to offer Oswalt and Barfield for V-mart and Phillips?

Any help would be appreciated.

who would be his catcher if he trades vmart?  if he has no other catcher that offer will get rejected.

i like barfield and he is really heating up(hitting .311 in the past 30 days).  2b is not a weakness for you, if you want to get hafner, try offering santana+ OF(or whatever your weak spot is) for hafner + another player, to upgrade on the weaker player you are combining with santana.
