| Hey guys, I am in 1st place in my 12-team mixed keeper league, standard roto. I'm clear in 1st by 10-13 points, depending on the day. I'm looking to shore up a few categories, and although I like the mantra "never pay for saves" and although it helped me a lot at the beginning of the season, I've been sinking like a rock in that category for a while now. My league is pretty active and has some good owners, so just about every backup closer is taken. You'll note my roster is littered with relievers who aren't closers, or crappy fill-in closers who are about to lose their jobs. In the meantime, my ERA and WHIP have taken a bit of a hit as I've scoured the waiver wire for saves. I'm growing increasingly worried about Berkman, whose hand injury is likely to either hamper his production from here on out or cost him a DL stint. At the moment, my OF is pretty solid, and could get help when Kendrick comes back off the DL and I can slot BJ out there if necessary. So, even though I'd likely only get pennies on the dollar for Berkman, is it worth moving him? Is asking for a good closer and a decent starter too much? I could use both, and right now, Berkman is riding the pine on my team. Your thoughts? Players to target?
