I am in a 14 team mixed keeper league where all salaries increase by $2 each year. I have Chris Young (AZ OF) for $5. He's been pretty disappointing this year in the BA category, but his counting stats are pretty good.

I have Jeff Kent at 2B for $16 and have been offerend Kelly Johnson $7 and Aaron rowand $7 for Young. I like Johnson and the idea that he would step in for Kent next season, but people expect big things from Young, too.

Keep Young or trade him for Johnson?

I would keep Young.  His average will improve and is a very nice keeper at that price.
