I've decided to stop playing fantasy sports for now so not up to speed but my bro asked me to co-manage his team.

12 team standard 6 x 4 roto public yahoo league w/daily changes.

League:
http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/70997

Trigun
C Eric Staal(Car - C)
C Scott Gomez(NYR - C)
LW Thomas Vanek(Buf - LW)
LW Alex Tanguay(Cgy - LW)
RW Daniel Alfredsson(Ott - RW)
RW Mike Knuble(Phi - RW)
D Dion Phaneuf(Cgy - D)
D Zdeno Chara(Bos - D)
D Kimmo Timonen(Phi - D)
D Francois Beauchemin(Anh - D)
BN Andrej Meszaros(Ott - D)
BN J.P. Dumont(Nsh - RW)
BN Petr Sykora(Pit - C,RW)

G Miikka Kiprusoff(Cgy - G)
G Ryan Miller(Buf - G)
BN Ilya Bryzgalov(Anh - G)

WW
RW SSullivan (IR), MRyder
LW TPyatt
D SSalo (IR), EJohnson

FA
C JStaal, Higgins, Ribeiro (IR),Wellwood (IR), MComrie, MFisher, Forsberg, MKoivu, Prospal, Koivu, Arnott, Grabovski
LW Fedotenko, Vermette, Wolski, Hartnell (RW), RMalone, Rucinsky, RTorres, GSanderson, TMoen, Kostitsyn
RW Tucker, Svatos, AK27, GMurray, Zubrus, CClark, Hemsky
D Campoli, Kuba, Spacek, DMurray, Streit
G TThomas (can he do it again even with MFernandez in town?), MGaron

Have WW #2 so save it if people panic or use it on Ryder or SSullivan? Stash SSullivan or FA Ribeiro, Wellwood on IR?

Don't think start Ryder ahead of Knuble (playing with the 2 star Frenchies) but Ryder could help in G and especially in SOG since he hardly ever passes. Can u tell I'm a Habs fan bc I also included Grabovski & Kostitsyn?

LW seems very week this year. Add JStaal and/or Tucker and hope they get LW eligibility? Always liked Vermette; Kostitsyn with AK27 should be good. Add Higgins bc he will get LW and he's a good player?

Dumont seems droppable since he has Alfie, Knuble and Sykora (thank you dual eligibilty and playing with Sid). His D looks good.

Andrej Meszaros is good trade bait. Another topic/post but he could probably trade Gomez bc there's a NYR fan in the league.

i agree with a lot that you say here.  my advice is basically do nothing right now though.

soon Giguere will be back and remove most of the value that Bryz has.  i'm also not a huge Meszaros fan except for +/- and some PIMs.

if Staal gets LW eligibility you need to add him now but with Yahoo one never knows how eligibility is going to play itself out.  i agree that LW is looking weak overall.  i seem to be having some trouble finding viable LW options late while there still seems to be RW options available.

if you're going to stash anyone on your IR the answer is Sullivan.

Ryder doesn't make me cringe re goals and SOG, it's +/- where he can decimate a fantasy squad.  on a related note when the Leafs played the Habs on Saturday i was VERY impressed with Kostitsyn and think him a decent add because he's got a very nice shot.

don't drop Dumont.  the Preds offense looks to be running thru Arnott and Dumont with some help from Legwand's line.  with Knuble's durability issues i would think he's a drop sooner than Dumont although i don't think that'll be soon either.

Good point about Dumont. Wasn't aware Dumont was with Arnott.

Nylander is on WW but not sure if I want to use WW#2 on him since there are

You're so right about LW. Hopefully, Carbonneau leaves Kostitsyn with Grabovski and AK27 bc they'll thrive. If not Kostitsyn then Higgins, JStaal or the flavor of the week might work. (e.g. Semin and Cheechoo last year?)

Only if you want to have a peak about the trade ideas involving Gomez and spare RW for Heatley.

MFernandez and TThomas are both FA now. Can you tell it's a beginner's public league?

Wish he had more roster spots. I figure he could drop a RW but not sure who. I think Dumont bc there's a PHI fan (has Briere and Gagne) in his league who might overpay for Knuble.

Dropping Dumont won't be bad bc there are plenty of FA RW choices. He'll stash Sullivan and he could use Sykora or Knuble for RW#2 for now until he makes a trade. Meszaros is another option but D are hard to find now that Spacek is gone.

Better to stash G than extra RW. Seems like he starts the wrong RW.
Thomas is hot (think BOS riding him for awhile) so hopefully he can sell high in a trade. If Manny does well then he can add him. Wish he had room for both or Osgood. It prevents another team from adding Thomas (e.g. someone added FA Gerber). Better on his team bench than on someone else's.
