10 team NL-only auction, and we can keep 5 players under contract. My keepers (w/ contract years) are:
1. Ensberg - $15 (thru '07)
2. Lidge - $15 (thru '08)
3. Willis - $15 (thru '07)
4. Zambrano - $12 ('06 only)
5. Casey - $8 ('06) or Madsen - $1 ('07)
I am leaning toward Casey over Madsen to balance my roster, and because I think Madsen will be undervalued, so I can get him back.
Also, I have been offered Aramis Ramirez ($19 - '06) and Berkman ($22 - '07) for Zambrano. If I take it, it leaves me weak at SP and short on cash heading into the draft, but Ramirez and Berkman are studs. Should I take it? If not, should I stick with Casey or keep Madsen instead?

So the trade is one year of Zambrano for 1 year of Ramirez and 2 years of Berkman? Eventhough that would leave you short of cash at the auction, and weak at SP, I would make that trade. You can alway trade for pitching and in a 10 team league, you should be able to find some decent starters during the year on the waiver wire.
