MONDAY

Around the Central Division

We've seen a hint at most of the young talent in the Central. But Eric has a few more names to keep on your radar for next season.

Icing It Down [P]

He was all over every injury in the NHL this season, and now Tyler has published his list of the biggest injuries from the past year. And then he has a look ahead to next year for some guys that were down and out pretty much all season.

SUNDAY

Around the Northeast Division

Rask and Price and Pogge... Oh my! It's quite the crop of young netminders working their way up in the Northeast, but those aren't the only names you need to know from the farm systems here. In fact, those three need to be filed away for a season. Join Sean as he continues an in-depth look at the prospects for each club.

FRIDAY

Youngblood [P]

Deciding that half a dozen heads at least make a longer column than one, Tim decides to poll the TMR hockey team about some awards for our Youngbloods this season. Where will Malkin go next year? How could someone pick anyone other than Malkin for ROY?

THURSDAY

Between the Pipes [P]

Johnny P goes for a wild tour of the NHL year that was. He checks in with some of the surprises (both good and bad) and the names you'll want to look for cheaply next year.

TUESDAY

Open Ice

Its time for that last ditch effort. In that spirit, rather than dwell on just twelve free agents, Sean tosses out several more names that should be available to help you gain that extra goal, assist, plus-point, PIM, win or goalie ratio.

MONDAY

Icing It Down [P]

While trying his hardest to not look ahead to baseball, Tyler dusts of his skates for another lap around the injuries that have befallen NHL players everywhere. Just a week to go!!

SUNDAY

Around the Atlantic Division

It's time to talk about the prospects... With so much to go over for each team Sean and Eric are trading in their round trip plane tickets through each Conference for a more laid back bicycle tour that includes prolonged stops in each Division.

Alexander Frolov, LW (LA)
Frolov scored twice for the Kings, helping them to a 3-2 victory against the host Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. The Los Angeles left wing, who recorded his ninth multipoint game of the season, also extended his points streak to three games, a span in which he has two goals and two assists. Overall, Frolov leads the team with 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists) in 29 games this season.

Derek Armstrong, C (LA)
Armstrong scored a goal and added an assist as the Kings defeated the host Anaheim Ducks, 3-2, on Sunday. The Los Angeles center, who notched his third multipoint effort of the season, has five goals and 11 assists in 24 games this season.

Ilya Bryzgalov, G (Anh)
Bryzgalov made 30 saves for the Ducks on Sunday in their 3-2 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Kings. The Anaheim goaltender, who got his first start since Nov. 17, went down awkwardly after stopping a shot and had to leave the game. Bryzgalov was replaced by Jean-Sebastien Giguere for the rest of the game. Giguere faced nine shots.

Sean Avery, C (LA)
Avery had a pair of assists for the Kings on Sunday in their 3-2 victory over the host Anaheim Ducks. The Los Angeles center, who had gone six games without recording a point, had his sixth multipoint game of the season. Avery has five goals and 12 assists in 29 games this season.

Morneau and Saito for Howard
I get: Justin Morneau (Min - 1B)
Takashi Saito (LAD - RP)

I give: Ryan Howard (Phi - 1B)

14 team 5x5 mixed roto keeper league with OBP instead of AVG. 5 keepers at the year's end with no penalties. I think I have to take this deal, I've built this team from ground up the last three years and I have to win this year. I lost last only due to my lack of saves (lost by 4 points, and only had 2 in saves) I just lost Corpas closing, I have Saito's backup if he loses the job, I don't lose too much from Howard to Morneau, and I am already dominating in HRs. Am I missing something or is this a no brainer? If I do the trade who do I drop and who do I drop this weekend with Kazmir coming back?

Offered Ortiz for my Beltran
11 man Points league, +1 Each base, RBI, RS, W, SB, -1 K.

Have Rios and Vlad as my other outfielders, few ok options on waivers to fill.
Ortiz finished in our league last year with 601 pts, Beltran with 489. Walks were only 0.5
Seems like a no brainer, how is Papi's health this year?

What do you think?

Catcher
Ok, alot of hype around Soto out of Chicago..But, do I rely on him or take a chance on the waiverwire with  B.Molina, Paulino, Torrealba (or similar ability types I am sure you all know - some, to well).
